Tourmaline
Like sapphires, tourmalines come in a wide variety of colors.
It is known to have the widest color ranges of any gem species. We have used a variety of tourmaline color varieties in our collections. Rubellites, Indicolite and Watermelon tourmaline to name a few. This stone is great for an October birthstone or an 8th anniversary gift.

Care:
Although tourmaline is stable and should not be affected by exposure to chemicals, heat can damage a tourmaline. Change of color and sudden temperature change can cause fracturing. We suggest warm soapy water to clean the stone and to avoid ultrasonic & steam cleaners.
Treatments:
Tourmalines can be heated or irradiated or oiled to enhance color/durability. All treatments are permanent.
